the Choco Story Brussels museum!

From the cocoa bean to the famous Belgian praline: explore the history of chocolate and all the secrets of the Brown Gold.

Walk through a Mayan temple where cocoa beans were enjoyed 5,000 years ago, board Cortés’s ship that brought them to Europe; see how chocolate was consumed at the French court in the 17th century, then how it was crafted into “Praline” in early 20th‑century Belgium.

Demonstration, tasting, and audio guide included in the visit.

The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.

  • A live demonstration of traditional Belgian praline making, running continuously and closing your visit.
  • Our shop with a wide assortment of chocolate products available at the end of the visit.

You can extend your chocolate experience with:

  • The "tablet" workshop: Our artisan chocolatiers guide you step-by-step in making your own bars and chocolate treats. Various ingredients are available to decorate your lollipops, mendiants and bars. You’ll leave with your creations and expert tips. Duration: 1h.

Our chocolate is Cacao Trace certified, a sustainability program based on:

High-quality cocoa beans, aiming to:

  • Increase farmers’ income

  • Protect natural areas through agroforestry

  • Support education, training, and healthcare

Fair payment for farmers:

  • Beans are bought above local market price

  • A chocolate bonus is paid directly to farmers: €0.12 per kg of chocolate sold
